The Toledo Community Foundation is a local nonprofit dedicated to distributing grants, scholarships, and funds throughtout the region for the betterment of the community. I was assigned as Lead Designer and Developer of Thrive to oversee and complete this project. There were many considerations during the rebuild: existing content and site structure were the largest. TCF has been online for 15 years, and neither the content nor site structure had changed since its inception. Another consideration during this project was that TCF had a sister site; The Center For Nonprofit Resources. While they had a similar mission, they were separate entities and thus needed separate websites. The look would remain similar to TCF, but address the specific needs of The Center. I began the project by constructing a new information architecture alongside content strategy, then quickly worked through wireframes, visual designs, and finally development.
